LS2400 ResidentGuard PWS Software Updates

Overview

This memo is to announce the release of ResidentGuard Patient Wandering System software Version 4.2.12.4; LS Network Appliance software Version 11 and LS2.0 Utility software Version 6.11.

Error Events Summary

Item 1 Current State: Low battery alarms – when a tag generates a LB alarm at a door (LS Controller), the controller maintains that LB event. The software will display and log that LB event. However, if another tag enters the field of the that controller and it does not have a LB, the software will display a LB for that successive tag, or any other tag that is then presented, prior to a full KP Reset.
Item 1 Correction: Tags entering the field will no longer display a low battery alarm if they do not have a low battery during this type of event.

Item 2 Current State: Tag 0 – previously displayed in the event of a tag collision or multiple tags in a zone which, to a customer, indicated they have a tag 0 somewhere.
Item 2 Correction: In the event of a tag collision/multiple tags in the field “Invalid Tag Data” will now be displayed, replacing the previously displayed “Tag 0”

Item 3 Current State: Subsequent Loiter/Exit Alarms – if a tag causes either alarm and subsequently leaves the monitored zone (LS Controller), in the event that another tag enters the same door controller field prior to a reset, the new tag # will not be displayed due to the previously existing alarm event.
Item 3 Correction: This has been corrected to display the successive tag during this type of alarm event.

Item 4 Current State: In reports “Invalid Tag Info” is displayed when data collisions occur during a loiter/door alarm with a valid tag #.
Item 4 Correction: Invalid Tag Info and tag collisions events are ignored and the tag # is displayed in alarm reports.

Item 5 Current State: Tag Additions, when adding tags to the tag edit list, you are forced to close and re-open the UI software before it populates the added tag/s to the list. This is due to a tag assignment related window popping up behind the UI screen preventing further action.
Item 5 Correction: The window now displays in front of the UI screen.

These updates are not critical to the functionality of the hardware at the monitored locations. Additionally, the installation of the software upgrades will not cause any downtime of the hardware upon implementation.

However, we recommend that these updates be implemented as soon as possible to display accurate alarm events when they occur on the server or client computers and to log these same alarm events for future alarm report generation.

A support package be required for V, 4.2.12.4 for ResidentGuard Patient Wandering System software.

The LS Network Appliance Software and LSUtil2.0 software are readily available.
